AI & Academic Integrity Policy

UGC PARAMETER 6.4 COMPLIANCE

Policy on AI-Generated Content & Academic Integrity

Jankriti International Research Journal enforces strict adherence to academic ethics and UGC directives regarding generative artificial intelligence tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek) in research publications.

1. Authorship Restriction for AI Tools

Artificial Intelligence tools and large language models (LLMs) cannot be listed as an author or co-author of any research paper. Authorship carries moral, academic, and legal accountability for originality and accuracy, which AI cannot undertake.

2. Permissible Scope of AI

AI may only be used as a secondary assistive tool for linguistic refinement, grammar improvement, or reference organization. The core research idea, textual analysis, critical interpretation, field investigation, and primary deductions must be original and produced entirely by the human author.

3. Mandatory AI Disclosure Statement (पारदर्शी प्रकटीकरण)

If an author has utilized any AI software during writing or proofreading, an explicit declaration must be included at the end of the manuscript before References:

“Declaration: The author(s) used [Tool Name] solely to assist with language proofreading. All critical analyses, methodology, and conclusions were independently conducted and verified by the authors.”
